So we're still sunning it in Fiji on the mainland of Nadi. This time at Aquarius on the beach. Its a shared dorm and bless the poor bloke in room 2 when we moved in - he!he! After a few rounds of cards, some Fiji Gold and jokes/life tales he seemed to realise we weren't going to eat him alive, just a bit mad that's all. Bless. Funnily enough he moved out today (pre-planned before we arrived i might add) so we'll wait and see who moves in next.
On to a more serious note - for all those who've been watching the news lately you'll have heard that there's currently a coup here. Don't worry - we're all fine and keeping away from the capital Suva where it all seems to be happening. We've registered with the British High Commission to let them know we're here and are keeping an eye on the news online. We've not seen anything yet but if we do we'll be outta here quicker than you can say Bula!
Speaking of getting outta here we are off island hopping around the Yasawas tomorrow to see some white beaches and some little fishies swimming in the sea. Tomorrow we leave for Nanuya Lailai for a couple of days, then Naviti Island and finally Bounty Island where 'Celebrity Love Island' is filmed. Its a 6 day, 5 night thing so should be fun. Then we're going to go to Beachcomber Island for a few nights where we've heard its 24hr partying - a bit like Whitley Bay but with sun, clear seas and palm trees - he!he!. Then we plan to chill on an island somewhere but i'll let you know once i'm back on mainland and near a computer. On the islands we won't have any of these priveledges - infact we only get electricity from 6pm - midnight (hopefully) so should be an experience. Thank goodness for our tourches.
Well i'm off to sunbathe now but should anyone have an answer on how to stop the mosquitos biting please let me know by leaving a comment!? The little blighters are eating us alive, bug spray or not!

Yes I have the answer but it's too late for the anti mosi war of Helsbels flesh.
You need to take vitamin B tablets 2 weeks before you reach a mosi infected resoert and then 1 every day. Seemingly they make the mosis believe you are a vegetable and not meat and they leave you alone. Tried and tested in Venice the mosi capital city. love mam x
Sis can you not just 'let rip' near them and make them disappear? Works on us!!! and probably Sharon, Kim and Laura!!
