Well in the words of Paris Hilton, Fiji is ...HOT! We're just back from our crazy island hopping adventures and ready to do some laundry! Its all glam here i tell you :-)
No its was great. The first island, Nanuya LaiLai (or something like that) was a four hour boat ride - not great when you suffer from sea sickness - plus another 10 mins or so in a little boat to reach the shores. I can still feel the sway as i type away. Urgh! Anyway apart from the sea crossing, the island was great - if a little basic, but hey we're travellers now, right?! We had a lovely little hut on the beach with shared toilets and showers and electricity from 6pm-10pm - ha!ha! Yep it was lights out early and torches on quick! Luckly our hut was near the bar so not far to wander by star light. Not that we did much drinking - once you're on Fiji time its hard to stay awake past 9pm - eeeeee! We had two nights on the island and two great days. We went Cave Diving on the first morning and took another boat trip to them. It was a climb inside (with a sign telling us to watch our heads - don't damage the rocks - shame i didn't see it when i cracked my head, doh!) and a jump into the cold water. Once inside the locals were climbing up the rock face and jumping in (along with a few very adventurous travellers with us). Then it was deep breaths and fast swimming as we squeezed through gaps in the rick face to another cave where it was pitch black and a little spooky. It was great to so - especially as i hate going underwater without holding my nose. Back through the hole was the only way out and another climb up the rocky stairs to the beach. Back on the Island we headed for a walk to the other side and the blue lagoon for warmer swimming and snorkelling with the little fishies. If you've seen Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields (not many have) this was where we were. At nights it was pretty chilled with the last night a feast of entertainment (making up for the spam and spaghetti - yuk!). The locals did a show for us and while we waited for little children from the island to come on, along came the local drag team including a Fijian Britney Spears! Hilarious.
Next Island was Karavou on Naviti. With electricity all day and little Bures on the beach it felt like luxury! And there was crunchies in the fridge! There's not really that much to report about this island as i did little else but lay by the freshwater swimming pool trying to get some colour, he! On the last morning the girls went off to see the local village while i, lazily, stayed on a hammock and tried to wake myself up. Found something to help - feeding very hungry fishes with the leftover bread from breakfast. Little nippers!
And last but not least was our last - and my favourite - Island, Bounty Island. Otherwise known as Celebrity Love Island this place was great. Granted after another bumpy 3 hour boat journey, on which i hung onto my sick bag with clenched fists, i would have been happy anywhere sturdy, but this was bliss. Cocktails in the Love Shack from the first series, dips in the pool, loads of white sand to walk around (you can cover the island in less than an hour) and glorious Bures with air con, fridges and more. Think we're definately suited to more luxurious travellers accomm - he!he! Spent the night playing some drunken games of Scrabble with Simon & Laura from the Midlands, as well as card games including sh#thead, switch etc... Hilarious night and our latest so far in Fiji - Midnight!!! The next day, more lazing around - its tiring doing nothing you know, followed by the ferry back to the main island and Nadi. Going to book up a few more islands tomorrow once our feet have got use to dry land and head back to Bounty Island for some more lazy days!....Heaven!

Well girls, I am well and truly jealous.
It sounds like you are having the most amazing time. Maybe I will use my redundancy and pop out for a few weeks when I am a lady of leisure.
I also can't believe the colour of you all, you are all so tanned.
The whole experience sounds totally amazing. We are missing you all here but you aren't missing anything exciting.
Speak to you soon
Sx
