On safari...

South Africa has been fantastic...with Cape Town a mouthwatering taster!

Table Mountain was beautiful with brilliant views across the whole of Cape Town. We took the cable car to the top and checked out the Lions Head and Twelve Apostles from up high too. Stunning. Unfortunately this is the only view we got of Robben Island - fully booked one day and stormy seas the next, we never made it to the prison where Nelson Mandela was placed. But there's always next time... :-) We did make it to the beach - Clifton and Camp's Bay, where the sun was shining and the sea was...freezing! Kim even recreated a Baywatch move Pam & co would have been proud of - as my flip-flop floated helplessly away after an unexpected wave caught me off guard. Thanks Kim!

But the highlight of our time there (apart from seeing Moe of course!) was the safari. Lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, rhino, zebra and much more - all roaming around masses of landscape. We did get charged at by two of the elephants...and inbetween the excitement of getting (very) close-up snaps, we were thankful that a) they're not that fast and b) our guide knew how to handle them with a simple 'back off' and rev of the engine. Of course i took hundreds of pics - all on flickr.

But as Sharon and I draw a close on this whole awesome adventure, Kim and Laura continue there's to Port Elizabeth and Kruger National Park, before seeing Moe again in Jo'Berg. Have fun guys, we'll see you soon for lots of story, pics and DVD swapping! Miss you already x
