Oh my, how i'm loving Thailand.
Since my last blog i've turned 27 - eeek!, with the the funniest of days. Off to a great start when the girls gave me a tres nice bag to lug around all my bits plus...TWO TOFFEE CRISPS! Now i know that may not seem like a big deal to all you folk back home with easy access to Asda or Morrisons confectionary but to me getting a toffee crisp was like all my christmas's had come at once. Yum Yum! I licked the wrapper clean! Then we headed off for a big brekkie before taking it easy with a Thai massage. Oooh, aaaaa, ouch! A strange combination of torture and bliss, its hard to describe. But as you'll see from the pics we all look half awake and happy by the end. Buckets of vodka and a dance at Bed Supperclub (tres nice club) ended a great day.
Whether its the thai massage or the heavy backpack - i'm certainly feeling the extra year. So after a tuk tuk drive of Bangkok and a few Buddha temples, it was great to arrive in Ko Tao - a blissful island north of Koh Samui. We've spent many days lying in the sun and soaking up the stunning surroundings while Laura & Kim do their open water PADI course with our hotel - Buddha View. We did take time out for Songkran tho - the Thai New Year celebrations and water festival. I've never seen so many twenty-somethings running around with water pistals!
In a couple of days we'll be heading for Koh Samui - for 5 days and nights of more of the same...sunbathing and chill-axing! And Kim & Laura can ditch the study books - they'll be qualified divers by the time you read this! x x
